Social Media Policy

South Side Community Federal Credit Union is committed to our community and our clients. SSCFCU has a presence on social media including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube. You are welcomed and encouraged to follow, like, subscribe, and share. We value your comments and connection.

These are our social media policies:

  • SSCFCU will make reasonable efforts to monitor our social media channels during our business hours, which are listed here on this website. All times are Central time. Social media is not a substitute for customer service. We will not be able to address your concerns, questions, comments or requests via direct message or other means related to the social media platforms we use. Please contact us directly if you need immediate assistance.
  • SSCFCU reserves the right to remove any offensive or inappropriate language and any off-topic material.
  • Do not post or share any personal or financial information. We will never ask you for passwords or other sensitive information via social media or direct message. Remember that whatever you post on social media could be available to the public. You can always contact us directly by phone or email.
  • We do not own the social media platforms that we use, and the users may or may not be our customers. The views and opinions of the subscribers to the social media platforms are not that of SSCFCU or any of our affiliates, employees, board members, or clients.
  • If we share third-party links to events or other information on social media, that does not constitute an endorsement of that site. SSCFCU is not responsible for content on third-party or external websites.
  • When you submit content on social media, you understand, acknowledge, and agree that whatever you submit, including but not limited to likes, comments, reactions, and shares, is available to the public. SSCFCU may use this information for internal and external promotional purposes. We aren’t the only ones who can see what you post and share, so be aware that what you post may also be used by other users on that social media platform for other purposes. This is beyond our control. If there is anything you do not want shared or made public, do not post or share on our social media pages. 

 

If you choose to leave a comment on one of our social media pages, SSCFCU reserves the right to edit and/or delete any comments if they are inappropriate. We consider the following to be inappropriate (this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Hurtful, abusive, or defamatory comments.
  • Spam, solicitations, redundant comments, duplicate comments, and anything deemed off-topic.
  • Foul language.
  • Hate speech.
  • Personal attacks and/or doxxing.
  • Comments that violate any business’s, user’s, institution’s, or individual’s privacy.
