Wentworth Ave., Suite 25, 19E Chicago, IL 60609 All nominations and elections conducted, and all notice thereof is provided, in accordance with the rules contained in the Federal Credit Union Bylaws, a copy of which is at www.ncua.gov or may be obtained directly from the National Credit Union Administration. The credit union also has a copy that any member may consult by request. Based upon their qualifications for office, the nominating committee has nominated three individuals to stand for election at the annual meeting. A statement of the nominee’s name, qualifications and biographical data is included on the next page. These individuals were agreeable to nomination and have agreed to accept office if elected. The election will be conducted by ballot, unless there is one nominee for each board of director’s position to be filled. In that event, the election will not be conducted by ballot. Nominations by Petition As provided for in the by-laws, there will be no nominations from the floor at the annual meeting. However, in addition to those persons the nominating committee has already nominated, any member may nominate, by petition, a candidate or candidates for the Board of Directors. Members may nominate themselves. To be eligible for election, a candidate must: 1) be a member of the credit union in good standing 2) be at least 18 years of age and 3) not have a conviction of any crime involving dishonesty or breach of trust. The National Credit Union Administration currently requires that each nominee, if elected, undergo both credit and criminal background checks. SSCFCU will accept nominations by petition through April 6, 2024. Completed nomination packages must be delivered in person to the credit union by the close of business on that date. The petition to nominate any candidate must be signed by a minimum of 20 members. Each nominee by petition must submit a signed certificate stating that he or she is agreeable to nomination and will serve if elected to office. Each nominee must also submit a statement of qualifications and biographical data with their petition.
